The Petrel Vertical Capstan is a hydraulically powered general purpose winch with a vertical warping head.  Petrel’s Vertical Capstans range from a 1,5 ton to a 4.6 ton pull.

The Capstan can be electrically controlled or hydraulically controlled by means of a hydraulic control valve, which allows for control in both directions.  The warping head is available in either cast-iron for soft rope or in cast-steel for steel cable use.
